Google Home Mini Broadcast

Hi there,

I am wondering why it is no longer possible to make Duo calls between different specific devices in a Google Home network, or to broadcast to a specific device.

I have a number of Google Home Minis in different rooms, and used to be able to call/broadcast to a specific room. That was useful as I didn't want to disturb my sleeping baby, who has one in his room.

Now any call or broadcast automatically good to the whole network for some reason.

Could someone please explain this, and is there any chance this functionality will return in the future?

It should still work, you just have to specify which room (ie broadcast to living room dinners ready)

Right, I could have sworn it had changed! I just tested and it worked though, so not sure what's going on there haha
