thanks for offering to help Jake. Unfortunately I do yet have the answer to my question. To confirm , I am not able to be at the same location as my mother (or her hub), however I do have her ‘home’ on my Home app and I can access her Google account.

Is it possible to post a Family Note remotely. I want to post a message on my Mums Nest Hub Max but I am not at the same location.
When I say Hey Google Create a Family Note to Google Assistant on my mobile I get ‘Family Notes only work on Smart Display devices for now’

if not is there a workaround?

Hi there,

Only devices that are part of your home group will display family notes. Have a look at the link below for more information about this feature.

Family notes:

Thanks for your help. I've read the link but it does not really refer to my situation. Just to clarify, the Hub in question is at my Mothers house. I have her 'home' on my Google Home app. I am a member of her 'family' under my own Google account but I also have access to her Google account (she is a senior). The only thing that appears to be causing a problem is that I am not at the same location as the Hub (and my Mother). I just want to be able to post a message on the screen of her hub so that she can read it.

Hi again,

I haven't tested family notes on different networks myself but the way I understand it is that you would need to have one of your hubs connected to the same home as her's.

Or her hub linked to the same home as yours but this would cause other issues with broadcasting, turning lights on/off playing music etc..... Over both locations.
