Connecting Bluetooth record player to Google Nest

I'm having some issues connecting my Victrola Bluetooth enabled record player to my Google Nest speaker. With the speaker in pairing mode, both devices just keep searching.

Can Google Nest units only connect to smart devices or can "non-smart" Bluetooth devices also connect?

Good question! Currently, we can only guarantee the full functionality of the Google Home/Nest devices Bluetooth connection to any Bluetooth enabled speakers and headphones with 5.0 core specification. You might want to check with the record player manufacturer if your device's Bluetooth is compatible with what the Google Home/Nest device has.

By the way, are you able to connect your Nest Audio to a different device like phone/tablet via bluetooth?
