Google Nest Mini keeps removing itself from the home

We have a Google Nest Mini in our Google Home household. Me and my partner are users in the household. Every few weeks (more recently, every week or so), I get a notification on my phone saying "[my partner] removed Google Nest Mini from your household". It's always sometime in the middle of the night when we're both asleep. He has not removed it, and only I get the notification.

When we check, the device is indeed removed from the home. We have to factory reset the Nest and then re-add it to the home to get it working again.

It isn't a case of just disconnecting from the wifi, which I have seen seems to be a more common issue. In this case, it's actually removing itself from our whole Google Home ecosystem.

Anyone else experienced this, or can suggest any solution?

Sometimes loose, disconnected or damaged cables can cause connection issues. Make sure the provided Ethernet cable is connected securely (the tab should click in) to your Google Nest Wifi router or primary Google Wifi point's WAN port . The other end should be connected securely to your modem

Thanks, but there is no ethernet cable (or even an input for it), and it isn't connected to the modem. It only has input for power, and connects by WiFi.

@nick_71, thanks for posting. This is not the experience that we wanted you to have, let me help you out. Have you been experiencing Wi-Fi issues recently? What is the distance between your Nest Mini from your router? Could you try moving it near your Wi-Fi router and observe if it will make a difference? Could you also help us fill up the needed information below?

Device firmware version
Device name (Example: Living room speaker)
How frequently the device unlinks (Example: daily, weekly, etc.)

Hi - thanks, yes I do still need help, but I'm currently away from home and the speaker has disconnected again while I'm away, so I'll need to wait till I'm back home to find the info you've requested (specifically the firmware version).

Hi Juni, here is the requested info:

1. It seems I can't post an email address here - it always displays as a # when I post, I guess for privacy protection reasons. Is there another way I can send you the address linked to the home app?

2. System firmware version: 324896, Cast firmware: 1.56.324896

3. The device is called Sun room speaker

4. The device generally unlinks weekly or so, or sometimes more frequently.

We've otherwise had no problems with the internet connection on other devices. We have a Google mesh system and the Nest is right next to one of the nodes.
