Stop Videos on Nest Hub

Have been using our Hubs more lately and when playing music it defaults to music videos. Have researched and found lots of posts about turning off video in YouTube (done that) but still we get music videos.

I do not think there is a solution for this as best as I have researched but am asking, is there a way to keep YouTube music premium from playing music videos on Nest Hubs? We just want the audio versions of songs. Only way we know to do this is to create playlists in YTP and ask Nest Hubs to play our playlists.

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

That certainly hasn’t been easy for you. Let’s check what’s going on. What command are you using to play your music? Could you try the sample commands below and observe if it will make a difference?

Say "Hey Google," then:

"Play [song name] on [music service]"

"Play [album name] by [artist name] on [music service]"

"Play [genre] on [music service]"

"Play [genre] music on [music service]"

The command I say is Play Dave Matthews in YouTube Music. When doing so I get Dave Matthews Band music videos where I would prefer to get random song of Dave Matthews that are not music video versions.

We appreciate your follow-up and are sorry to hear that the problem persists. Try performing a consecutive reboot if you can. To refresh both devices and your Wi-Fi signal, first unplug your Nest Hub for 30 seconds, then repeat the process with your Wi-Fi router. Try the command once more after turning it on to see if it changes anything. If the problem continues, check the command that was detected in the My activity area of the account settings of your Google Home app. See the instructions below for how to access that page.

Check your Google Assistant activity history:

Open the Google Home app .
At the top right, tap your account.
Tap My Activity .
