Find My Device with Assistant error

When i ask my google asisstant "find my phone" it says turn on notifications in the app and i did. The next i asked google it kept on saying turn on notifications. How do i turn on Find My Device with Google Asisstant.

You need to turn on Find My Device in your Google Account as well. See this help page and its links: Find your phone with Google Assistant - Android - Google Nest Help

Yes I do. How do I update my Samsung Galaxy Note8 (Verizon Wireless)? When I go in my settings and I search up system updates it just says Apps > App Info and then system updates. I have been having trouble updateing my phone.

Thanks for coming back to us. To update your phone's software version, please follow the steps on this link. If you are trying to update the Google Home app on your phone, the easiest way is to go to the Google Play Store then search for "Google Home."

The link provided by @JillG is very helpful for you to set up the "Find my phone" feature on your Google Home device. Please make sure that you follow all those steps in chronological order.
