Nest Hub screen Artifacts and stripes

Hello, i have a nest hub v1 for over 2 years. Since this week lines and weird artifacts are showing on the screen. Stripes and a halo kind of picture. By looking on the internet i found it might be burn in and i followed some instructions of resetting the device. Which i did but to no improvement so nothing is solved, obviously the device is out of warranty 😔 . So i question is that is this e-waste of is this solvable or repairable? What should i do with this device? I have 3 nest hubs and 2 mini in the house atm, i hope the rest stays working.

A few questions: when did the issue on your Google Nest Hub's screen start? Was the display dropped or knocked over? Is the device still working?

Please provide us with a photo of the display of your Google Nest Hub. Also, give me your device's Cast firmware version so we can look into this further.

Not really sure when it started but I noticed it for the first time 2 weeks ago . The hub is placed on the dining table and has never been knocked over. The device still works but the screen is terrible to watch.

It looks like an old crt interlaced with a halo. I have reset the device several times now , the screen was showing the clock normally and when the room is dark the hub would be too.

Apart from the halo effect the display has a brighter stripe on the right side too [this was not the case before resetting the device as far as i know] now it looks to me that the display is getting worse.

I looked it up for you.

I purchased the hubs and mini's at 25 of november 2019 from a webshop called tink.nl they just started out with their webshop in The Netherlands. How ever it took sometime to get delivered for some reason.

it is rather disappointing that such a device is clearly e-waste after 3 years, it is the sign of the time we live in. Where i grew up to repair anything that is broke and we could, but these days all is glued or with plastic clips that brake of when you try to access the internals. And to me it is clear that things are not so well tested as we all did in the past.
