Home Mini stops casting radio after about 5 minutes

In the last few days, BOTH my google home mini's stop streaming the radio about 5 minutes after being prompted.

I typically ask google to play the same FM radio station every morning, and leave it going all day however in the last few days it cuts out from which every speaker it is casting from within 5 minutes. Regardless if its a single speaker or a group. Restarts and resets have done nothing ....

Super frustrating as my previous issue of google not understanding my stop comppand for the radio is also not resolved. Does Alexa have these issues? Considering switching my smart home setup as there always seem to be glitches lately.

This just happened to me today listening to an FM station...ugh. No this does not happen w/ Alexa but I had nothing but other issues (Wifi disconnects, weird sounds, reminder issues...among others). I am hoping Google gets their (insert word here) together because these devices have so much potential.

Hi folks,

ReneeSNL and CraigM3, this is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. A few things: aside from the 2 Google Home Mini’s mentioned, which Nest speakers are we working with? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made? What country are you located in?

Could you specify which commands are given and what radio station this issue is happening on? What is the error message when the radio stops? Also, it would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

Unplug the power cord of your router followed by your Nest speakers.
Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
Restarting your phone might also help.

Once done, try these steps:

If your speaker or display doesn't play the radio station you requested, be more specific with your query, or ask for the station in a different way, using name, frequency or call sign.
If the request is not properly answered, try to add "on TuneIn" or “on iHeartRadio” to the query. Example: "Play ESPN Radio on TuneIn,” or "Play ESPN Radio on iHeartRadio."
If the provided station is inaccurate when asking for frequency, try to add the name of a nearby city. Example: "Play 101.9 FM LA."
