We did the same (configured the new router to use the same SSID and password as the old one). It was a lot easier; changing the WiFi router's SSID and password on Google Nest cameras certainly seems to be problematic.

I've just had new wifi installed, I want to move all the devices (speakers, displays, chromecasts, hubs 10no. in total) to the new wifi.

I have 2 wifis running concurrently (one full fibre gigabit bb, the other standard broadband)

Do I have to remove all devices and start again? That would be a real pain to do.

I read about going into each device & 'forget network' but when i press this & go back to the device its still connected to that network with no way of connecting to my new network.

Wondered if anyone has already fought this battle!

Hi,

When I changed my internet router I configured the new one to use the same SSID and password as the old one and all my devices connected without issue.

If you have new network SSID and password then you will need to change this for each device.

Regards,

Cathal
