I disagree that this is a Duo issue. The camera is part of the Google Hub Max. I never downloaded a Duo app to my Hub, it seems to be integrated into the Hub software. The Duo app/camera on my phone do not do auto framing, so again, appears to be a specific Hub feature.

When I first got the Nest Hub Max, Auto Framing was on by default in Duo calls. In the last several months, Auto Framing defaults to off for Duo calls. Can turn it on during the call, but the setting is not retained. It may remember for the next hour or so, but by the following day am having to walk back up to the display to turn Auto Framing on. It defeats the purpose of voice commands if you have to walk up to the display to turn Auto Framing on.

Concur 100%. This seems like a device software issue or perhaps more specifically the Nest Hub Max instance of DUO.

Hey there,

I understand that you may think it is a Duo issue, however, when it comes to these types of issues, it would be best that you reach out and post this question to the Google Duo Help Community forums, as they have a more in-depth knowledge of duo and its features.

You can also try to send feedback directly to our engineering team through the device or app itself if you'd like.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Best regards,
