Hi Brad1138,

To confirm, have you tried moving your Nest Mini near the router? This will help us further isolate the issue.

Cheers,

I've had a Mini in my bedroom for years, about a year ago it started losing Wi-Fi connection often, which is a real pain when you use the mini for an alarm. I pulled a different mini from a room that was never used, and after a few days it started doing the same thing. I tried a new power supply and I thought that was it, but after a month or so it started happening again. It was sitting under a plasma TV, I thought maybe that is the issue, so I factory defaulted it, and moved it across the room. After a week, it started happening again. The Wi-Fi is strong in all rooms, plus I have 3 others (Hubs or Minis), a door bell and thermostat, none of those ever lose signal. I also have 3 Alexas, 1 that sat right next to it under the TV, and they never have problems.

2 different Minis, 2 different power supplies, 2 different locations in room, all with great Wi-Fi signal.... What the heck could it be?

I think I have 1st gen "Google" mini as apposed to "Nest" mini. Not sure how to tell.

Hello Brad1138,

Thanks for reaching out. We'd love to help.

A few questions: were there any changes made before the issue happened? How far are your Google Home Mini devices from your Wi-Fi router? What's the Cast firmware version of your speakers?

The Google Home Mini has a flat surface on the bottom, whereas the Google Nest Mini has a wall mount. If you haven't already, you can factory reset the speakers and set them up.

Let me know how it goes.

Best,
Lovely

Hello, I guess it is the Home Mini then. About 20 feet, I have my router (TP-Link AC1750) dead center of the house, can't be more than 25-30 feet away. Firmware is 1.56.324896 .

Thanks

Yes, I have. Thanks for the reply.

I think logically it has to be something in the room.
