Lights on mini constantly pulsing

Over the past 2 weeks I've noticed that the Google Home Minis (5 of them) throughout my house frequently have four pulsing white lights. This is not the result of someone saying anything remotely close to "Hey Google" or "Ok Google" and it is not the result of an errant broadcast.

I've noticed that it even happens when I'm the only one home and haven't said a word.

I've done the whole unplug and reset routine. Why are they all suddenly listening???

Hello, I have few Google mini in my house (8). There are 1st and 2th generation. Since last week when I do a broadcast like : Dinner is ready. The message is broadcasted correctly but now the lights are flashing on all the others google mini after the broadcast.

I Just have to go to each room and do this : Ok Google, stop.

and the lights stop blinking. Why ?

I know how it feels when there's something wrong with your Google Home and Nest Mini devices. Let's try to get to the bottom of this. To confirm, does it broadcast the message or just show the lights? What happens when you broadcast a message from your phone to your speakers?

Also, it would be best if you could share a video so we can get a better picture of what's happening to your device. Please note that you don't need to take a video on all your devices. We just need to see the actual action of your device while broadcasting a message.

Same issue here. The message broadcasts and the lights are pulsing during it, as they normally do during an action, but now they just keep pulsing instead of stopping after the message is done broadcasting. The behavior started sometime in the past week or two.

Thanks for sharing the video. May I know the firmware version of your device? Also, what country are you located in?

To check the firmware version of your device, follow these steps:

Make sure your mobile device or tablet is linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
Open the Google Home app.
Touch and hold your device's tile.
At the top right, tap Settings > Device information.
Under "Technical information," find Cast firmware: X.XXX.XXXXX.

I have this problem too.

same firmware version on the google home/ home mini/Nest minis 1.56.356012

i have 5 devices that are left flashing after a broadcast. The sequence is consistent with the ‘assistant is responding pattern’

i have rebooted all devices and home network. Also creates a new home and migrated all devices.

problem is unchanged

Same issue here. Mix of old style Google Home's, mini's, and Nest mini's.

Firmwares on devices:

1.56.324896 on 1 mini

1.56.356012 on a bunch of other devices

Google Home and Nest speakers flashing

This affects multiple devices. I have an original Google Home, four Nest Minis, and Nest Audio, and all of them are flashing at once. The pattern is all four LEDs pulsing.

Based on the LED help page, the pattern seems to be "Google Assistant responding".

Every single device is affected, and it hasn't stopped for several days.

Can anyone help?

Same issue with all three of my google home mini. Started a few days ago. The lights keep blinking non stop. Commands still work fine.

The first thing I would do is remove the power from them, and leave them disconnected from power for at least 30 seconds before reconnecting the power.

Normally, 4 white lights flash when the device detects "Hey Google" but they should then fade and turn off if you didn't issue a question or command.

Same problem. In Sweden with Swedish voice on the devices, otherwise the same as above.

I can add that I am unable to get the speaker to repeat the broadcast. Instead it repeats something random from earlier in the day or say it doesn’t remember.
