Google speaker keeps playing music after I tell it to stop

Tune In continues to be a problem on my Google Home device. The previous forum on this issue has been closed but it continues to be an annoying issue, so I want to keep reminding Google of what a PITA Tune In is. The issue is that, after playing a Tune In radio station and then shutting down Google Home, 20 minutes later the device turns on again with an unwanted advertisement. There is a workaround that does stop this from happening and has been working for me for months now: tell the device: "Hey Google, turn off all radio." After I do this, the device shuts off until I tell it to play again- no exceptions- IF the command is made before the next ad starts. If an ad has already started, even this workaround can't be used. The ad completely hijacks the Google Home and will not listen to any commands until the ad is over and the normal radio station is playing again. The only way to turn Google Home off during a Tune In ad is to unplug the power cord. To me, this is a violation of the agreement we have with Google and possibly grounds for a lawsuit, since it takes the device out of our control.

You can try to do a factory reset on your Google Nest Hub 2nd gen. This erases all your personalized settings and restores the factory default settings. It won’t automatically reconnect to WI-Fi, and you’ll need to set it up again. Check out the article below to know more about it.

This is not a Google Nest, although I know of Google Nest owners who are experiencing the exact same problem with Tune In stations. This is a Google Home device and factory reset has already been tried with no luck (other users tried that too, with no success). I'm sorry if I posted in the wrong place, but the previous forum I was in has been closed so I can't comment there anymore. This problem has been going on for about a year now. There were no recent changes. Tune In stations interrupt the radio broadcasts to inject their own ads. When that happens, the Google device is hijacked- it can't be turned off by any other means but unplugging it from AC. If the command "Hey Google, turn off all radio" isn't given (after the ad has ended- you can't do anything except unplug it to stop it from playing when the ad is playing), the next time Tune In decides to interrupt with an advertisement, it will turn the device on and leave it on until I shut it off again. You can view the other forum to see all the problems Tune In has caused with other Google Home and Nest users. I contacted Tune In about this when it first started happening about a year ago and they still haven't done anything to stop it.

If TuneIn admits that the concern is on their end, you can go ahead and send a follow-up to them so they can address this. Lastly, could you provide us with your device's firmware version? Check out the steps below on how to get it:

Make sure your mobile device or tablet is linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
Open the Google Home app .
Tap your device's tile.
At the top right, tap Settings Device information.
Under "Technical information," find Cast firmware: X.XXX.XXXXX.

The model listed on the bottom of the Google Home is: Home. Cast firmware is: 2.57.375114.

Tunein has not admitted to the concern being at their end. They just said they were working on it- that was about a year ago. I sent them a follow up already. They just said the same thing: they were working on it- about 11 months ago. No more follow ups.
