Unable to set up google home mini

I am unable to set up my home mini. After I fill in my wifi details it says;

Taran’s Room speaker may be set up, but we could not communicate with it from your iPhone. Make sure that you have enabled local network access in your iPhone’s privacy settings. Then try again.

However, I have already enabled local network access for the app. I have tried resetting the device and reinstalling the app. Please help

Thanks for posting—let's get this sorted out. Is this the first time you’ll set up your Google Home Mini device? Are you using private or shared Wi-Fi? If private, is your router dual-band? Which band are you connecting your Google Home Mini to? Do you have other Google Home devices connected to Wi-Fi? Is there a spare phone or tablet/iPad you can use for the initial setup?

Hello Marymack557,

Is this the first time you’re setting up your Google Home Mini? If not, I suggest that you factory reset your Google Home Mini device for a fresh start and then proceed with the setup.
