tried going to account and subscri'ption and there are no 3 dots or anything to click to upgrade, just a cancel subscription

If you have a 1st gen Nest Aware subscription, I think you have to cancel your subscription (and get a pro-rated refund), and then purchase a 2nd gen Nest Aware Plus subscription:
