Saving non event clips

Nest Aware is not cheap (for what you get). I mostly pay for this service to record 24/7. I have to say it blows my mind that there is NO way within the app or browser to save clips outside of recorded events (with the flood camera light/camera). I simply don't get it. I can still do it with my Nest doorbell using home.nest.com but not a thing with home.google.com or the Google Home app.

WORK AROUND FOR IOS USERS: Scroll through your history events and find an event close to the date/moment you want to save. Scroll a few seconds before the area you want saved (to give you time to start screen recording). Slide your finger down from the top right corner where the battery symbol is to bring up the controls. Click on the circle within a circle at the bottom left to record your screen. Go back to the clip and click the play button. When complete, go back to the iPhone controls and stop the the recording (by clicking the circle again). You can click the edit button on the recorded video to trim off excess video. Sometimes it also records sideways, simply edit again and rotate.
