Are nest app stop supporting Nest Cam? I connected a Nest Cam on my existing Nest ware app but it is now allowing me to subscribe 24/7 video history.

Please advise.

Perhaps, since Google Nest is discontinuing its support for Dropcams (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Blog/An-update-for-our-Nest-Secure-Dropcam-and-Works-with-Nest-Users-and/ba-p/391449) on April 8, 2024, you can no longer purchase Nest Aware subscriptions for a Dropcam. (This is just a guess.)

Judging from other posts in this forum, Google Nest did not extend its Dropcam replacement offer to customers whose Dropcams were NOT on Nest Aware a month before the April 8, 2023 announcement.

Just a few questions: What error message do you receive when you try to add the Nest Cam to your existing 24/7 Nest Aware Subscription? Have you migrated your account to Google? If you go to https://goo.gle/2NXcnMq, do you see Nest Aware Plus active on your account under subscription?

i have more than 20 nest cam and are using Nestware subscription for 24/7, 30 days history. Recently tried to add another camera , on subscription menu it is asking to migrate. Oly event base history option are available on migration, i am afraid if i use this option our all existing plan will go away.

Any idea if this will keep working with old subscription, or are there any 3rd party app which can have same options.

If you have 24/7 30-day history, then you may have a 1st gen Nest Aware subscription on each of your cameras. The newer "Nest Aware" (30-day event video history) and "Nest Aware Plus" (10-day 24/7 video history and 60-day event video history) cover all of the cameras and doorbells in the same Google Nest "home/structure" for a single price ($60/year or $120/year). If you migrate your Nest Account to a Google Account, those subscriptions will cover both your older and newer cameras. We migrated about 3 years ago and have a "Nest Aware Plus" subscription.

so 10 days 24/7 and 60 days event bases, thts fine. After migration do we need any other app or will still keep working on existing Nest App?

After you migrate your Nest Account to a Google Account, you will still have complete access to all of your older cameras and doorbells in the Google Nest app (and on the home.nest.com website) but they will also be accessible in the Google Home app and on the home.google.com website (though administration and full history will still be accessible only in the Google Nest app).

You will need the Google Home app for administering access to your cameras, and for accessing Nest Hubs and Nest Minis, and for any newer cameras and doorbells you may add.

At some point--I don't know when--Google Nest probably plans on moving everything to the Google Home app.
