Multiple Google Homes

I bought a Google nest camera for my 2nd home since I already have Google nest with Nest aware subscription at my primary home.

Installed the new camera, at first I added it to my existing home, all worked fine, including nest aware. But I thought i should clean it up and took the time to reinstall it in a 2nd home in Google home.

Now Nest aware wants me to pay a 2nd subscription fee! This is why I stayed with Google in the first place because I already had a video history subscription.

You mean I have to move my camera back to my primary house?

Google Nest's "Nest Aware" and "Nest Aware Plus" subscriptions apply to ALL of the cameras and doorbells in the same Google Nest "home/structure" (on the same Wi-Fi network).

They are not entirely explicit about stating this. Their subscription page says only: "One simple price. Whole home coverage. Cover all the Google Nest cameras, displays and speakers in your home for just $8/month, and control them all from the Google Home app." (https://store.google.com/product/nest_aware)

I appreciate the response. So Nest does want me to pay for a second subscription.

This was not at all clear to me, I specifically stayed with Google nest camera for my second home so I could use my existing subscription.

When I had the ca.era installed as part of my first home it looked like it was working fine, even with the cameras on different Wi-Fi

Does anyone else add all their cameras to one home? Nest is going to force me to move everything to one google home.

Thanks for following up. Nest Aware 2nd Gen subscriptions are applied at the structure level, which means a single subscription is attached to all paired cameras within one home structure.

I’m sorry for the confusion. I know this isn’t the answer you’re looking for; Nest Aware 2nd Gen subscriptions are applied at the structure level. This means if you have multiple homes, each structure needs to subscribe to Nest Aware separately.
