I need the 6 digit code on the back of the doorbell without taking it off the wall

Unfortunately, there is no other way to get the 6-character alphanumeric Setup Code. That's why years ago we started writing down the Setup Codes for all of our cameras and doorbells.

@970-370-3020, thanks for reaching out to the Community. I’m afraid that, just like MplsCustomer mentioned, the Nest doorbell can’t be set up without the QR code or the 6-digit code from the back. You can check out the guides below for more information:

Remove the Nest camera or doorbell from its stand or mount.
Install Nest Doorbell (battery).
Install Nest Doorbell (wired).
Install Nest Doorbell (wired, 2nd gen).
