Can tell me label under the blue wire? I think it is OB and you have a heat pump system

You have a Heat Pump system with auxiliary heat. What model of Nest Thermostat did you acquire?

not getting power......thought i had the breaker off BUT i did not.......could i have blown an ac unit fuse?

Ok, so here is the wiring for your Nest Learning Thermostat.

Red Wire, Nest Rc

White Wire, Nest W2/Aux

Blue Wire, Nest OB

Yellow Wire, Nest Y1

Green Wire, Nest G

Brown Wire, Nest C.

Set your system Equipment as Heat Pump, Type O, Forced Air. The will automatically detect the W2 wire will assign it to Auxiliary Heat.
