Install problem Nest learning thermostat version 1

Have a heat pump electric heat cool system. Wires per my a/c guy:

yellow in y

blue in c

white in ob

red in r

green in g

system only blows hot air.

Per a/c guy, need to switch o to b or b to o to get cooling.

app won’t let me get that far, saying that c is empty

Any ideas?

Warning to other new Nest users: Was so very much more complicated than I expected... Had to get an a/c expert out to my home to redo all the wiring to my 20-year-old forced air system. Could never have done it myself.

@Mark0614, incorrect wiring setup or unconfigured wires during the setup process could cause an odd HVAC activation. But I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.

Can you please share with us your old thermostat and the Nest Thermostat's wiring setup? This is to check its configuration. I'll look forward to your response.
