Your current thermostat is set up as controlling a Heat Pump system. The X2 is typically used as your Emergency Heat function. Your wires in use are as follows:

R, red wire, 24VAC power

B, blue wire, Power Common

G, green wire, Blower Fan Relay Control

Y, yellow wire, Compressor Relay Control

W, white wire, Auxiliary Heat Control

X2, black wire, Emergency Heat Control

O, orange wire, Heat Pump Reversing Valve control

The X2 Wire will go to the Star (*) terminal. You will need to define it as the Emergency Heat.

So the “regular” Nest Thermostat will it work? Not the learning or E just the regular one is what I have

Unfortunately it requires the Nest Learning Thermostat. If decide to not have the Emergency Heat, you can use the basic Nest Thermostat.
