    <description>&lt;P&gt;How do you know if the power is off when Nest has a battery?&amp;nbsp; I am taking my nest E off the wall to paint and I can't find which breaker it right because the internal battery keep the Nest on.&amp;nbsp; Is there a way to disconnect the battery so I can see when it goes off?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Your power panel should have have the circuit breaker labeled. &amp;nbsp;Alternatively, if you know where your indoor air handler is, national electrical code requires there to be a power disconnect located near the air handler. Find it, turn it off and the power to your thermostat will be off as well..&lt;/P&gt;
