Hello finchtits,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.

This might be a setup configuration issue, the reason why it's not turning the fan on when your system is activated. Check your thermostat settings; this may vary depending on the Nest Thermostat version you have. Please give these steps a look:

For the Nest Thermostat 2020:

Open the Google Home app and tap the thermostat.

Go to Settings > Thermostat.

Fuel Source and Heat Type

Make sure to select the right system mode.

For the Nest Learning Thermostat or the Nest Thermostat E:

On your actual thermostat, go to the equipment settings.

Look for an option to change the system type and make sure it's on forced air.

After changing its settings, restart the thermostat to refresh and let us know if it works.

Regards,
Mark

Fan set to Auto, does not turn on with AC compressor or Heating, However Fan works if I set timer.

Hello, I had a question. The Fan will Not come on automatically but I can turn it on manually for any specified time on either the schedule or a time selection on the app. The AC compressor turns on but the Fan wont turn on, same with Heating. Any ideas?
