I bought the nest thermostat with intention of monitoring the temperature, unfortunately i didnt research the prerequisites and impulsively bought it. Its stuck with me - and shop is not allowing me to return it. Any chance i can still use without existing thermostat, heater + cooling - wiring; i just wanted to monitor the temperature and trigger some automation on turning on/off smart devices...
