T-stat thinks I have a heat pump and I don’t. It activates a/c when I set it to heat.

Installed a complete system in the summer and all works.
I switched to a Nest since and a/c works good.
I tuned on heat for the first time with Nest and it turns on the a/c instead of the heat.
I can only get heat in emergency heat mode.

The Nest thermostat isn't wired correctly.

Post a picture of the original thermostat wiring if you have it and a picture of how you have the Nest wired

green to G

yellow to Y

blue to C
