If you do not have a smart phone, you will not be able to take advantage of remote control and probably need to stay with your old thermostat. My phone is too old to get the app, so I'm trying to us my laptop. It tells me to enter a code, but the Nest display just says "Continue setup with Google home app". Instructions online tell me to "press Nest dial for Menu, then settings, etc." Nothing happens when I press on the dial. I'm not going to buy a friggin new phone just to get this thermostat to work! This is ridiculous. There ought to be a way to manually operate a simple thermostat.&nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>The online help and forums are NO help.&nbsp;I wish I'd never gotten this stupid Nest.
