Sorry Jake,

My first response apparently didn't get through. To answer your question; no it is not installed. Yours was the only response I got, and it did not address the issue. Apparently, since I only have heat (no air) I do not get a yellow wire, so this thermostat is useless to me. I was thinking about a jumper like I have now, but I didn't want to blow anything up. Can this thermostat still be used and if it can, how do I address the yellow wire that I do not have?

Hey Jworobe,

I am sorry to hear you are still having trouble, and I would be happy to help out the best I can. Please be aware that Nest Thermostat's are not compatible with jumper wires, and it could cause damage to your system if one is installed to the device.

Do you mind me asking if you are able to send in a picture of your current wire setup for me to review? Another option I would recommend is having a Nest Pro come out and take a closer look. They would be able to review the HVAC system, and ensure the device is installed properly. Please let me know once the picture has been sent, and I will be happy to review.

I am having problems too…i do not have a yellow wire as my system does not have an air conditioner
