Away assist and eco temperature

Hi,

First post on this forum, so please excuse any breaches of etiquette. I have our thermostat heating to 17c while at home. I would like the thermostat to drop to 16c when the thermostat switches to Away. Both 17c and 16c are eco temperatures, but I cannot get the unit to drop to 16c while switched to away. Any ideas on how to do this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for reaching out to us. To achieve the desired temperature change when your thermostat switches to Away mode, you can follow these steps:

Open the Nest app.
Select your thermostat. If you have multiple thermostats connected to the app, choose the one you want to adjust.
Go to Settings.
Locate the Eco mode settings. This is where you can customize the temperature settings for when your thermostat is in Away mode.
Adjust the Away temperature. In the Eco mode settings, you should find an option to set the temperature for Away mode. Change the temperature value from 17°C to 16°C.
After making the temperature adjustment, save the settings and exit the menu.

Once you've completed these steps, your Nest Thermostat should lower the temperature to 16°C when it switches to Away mode. When you return home and the thermostat detects occupancy, it will switch back to your desired temperature of 17°C.
