In St. Louis, where it’s cold currently (-2). The is giving me an error that says “install stable power source. g.co/nest/m22”. It also will not connect to the wi-fi.

Wires connected on the thermostat are: Y, w, r, g

the furnace still runs but not sure what to do about the error. I also replaced the batteries. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes it is working in holding the temp. I will add the power connector tomorrow and see if that fixes the issue

Hi everyone,

Thanks for reaching out. I know it's been a while now — we're sorry for the delay. Please let us know if the issue persists.

N262 code means C wire is recommended (Unable to perform power sharing, possibly due to extreme cold, short cycle, etc.) Adding a C wire or power connector lets the thermostat move its power circuit from an equipment terminal to a dedicated circuit and eliminates symptoms of a power sharing issue. In rare cases, a common wire addresses expected HVAC behavior that interrupts the power sharing circuit.

Most heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems can power share without a problem, but some may react differently to power sharing. Common wire or Nest Power Connector installation resolves power sharing issues.

Best,

Jenelyn
