I removed and reinstalled all the wires. Still didn’t show up.
I discovered I wiring setting in the app, and added the “cool” wire in the app. Restarted app and now cool is showing up. I haven’t checked to see whether it actually controls to AC yet.

Just replaced my Honeywell thermostat with a Nest. Followed all the instructions via the app. However, once installed, I’m not seeing an option to switch to the AC. Did a search on here, but didn’t find a solution.
Have pics, but not sure how to upload here.
Using Y, C, W on left side and G, R on right side. All solid core wires with about 1/2” exposed and fully inserted, with the tabs in the depressed position.

Hi 208family,

Yikes! I'm sorry to hear that you can't switch to AC with your newly installed Nest Thermostat via the app. Please try to remove and then reconnect the Y wire for cooling to see if the cooling option will appear on the app after that. Take care not to turn off the power breaker on your thermostat before touching any wire.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Zoe

Hello folks,

I'm chiming in to make sure everything is covered here.

Thanks for looking into this, Zoe.

@208family, it's good to hear that you were able to identify and resolve the issue with the wiring setting in the app. Adding the "cool" wire and restarting the app seems to have done the trick, and now the "cool" option is showing up. Remember to test it to ensure that it indeed controls the AC properly. If you encounter any further issues or have questions, feel free to reply.

Warm regards,
Mark
