Hello Riccko,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I totally understand your frustration with the recurring connectivity issues on your Nest Thermostat. Have you considered a few troubleshooting steps?

Ensure that your thermostat is within a reasonable range of your Wi-Fi router. Walls and other obstacles can interfere with the signal.

Sometimes, specific router settings may cause compatibility issues. Ensure that your router firmware is up-to-date and try adjusting settings like channel selection or switching between 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.

Check if your network security settings might be causing the disconnect. WPA3, for instance, might not be compatible with some Nest devices.

Try a power cycle by turning off your thermostat and router for a few minutes before turning them back on. This can sometimes resolve temporary glitches.

Perform a factory reset on the Nest Thermostat and set it up from scratch. This can help eliminate any software glitches that might be causing the issue.

If all else fails, check for any wiring reports or message codes in your thermostat's settings. This would help us isolate the issue.

Best regards,
Mark

Hi all.. I'm having serious problems with the 3rd gen nest thermostat. After a few months for some unknown reason my nest stops connecting to the network, and then I can never get it to find the network... I'm on my 3rd nest and it's happened again with the 3rd one thus is less than 2 years since I had my first one.... Its driving me insane cause I can't work out what's causing this problem... I've tried all the necessary options google suggested to me but no use..... Any ideas would be appreciated as I've run out

Hi and thanks for the reply.. I've tried lots of different things but none worked but I'm wondering if the nest link box maybe causing the problem as all thermostats where wired, maybe the box could be giving the wrong voltage, my 4th nest is on the Google stand at the moment so not wired and away from any interference. I'll see how that goes but still not the answer for the other 3 thermostats stopping connection with any network
