Boiler won't turn on, so no hot water. No symbol for water on my 3rd generation Nest

Hi,

I've just taken over a Nest 3rd generation device and not found any water symbol on the Nest dialling device, only white Nest in airing cupboard. So only got hot water by manually pushing Nest white pad and nothing on the dial display. Please explain the whole system as I don't understand how to get it working and no one seems to know about Nest products !

The white Nest in the airing cupboard is the Heat Link, that controls your system from the Nest wall display.

Which heating system do you have, Combi boiler or System boiler?

Having a search on the internet will help, and reading about the thermostat will give you information. Here is a start...
