Hi zoozee98,

Sorry to hear that your Nest Thermostat doesn't work as expected. Can you tell me what type of thermostat you have ? were you trying to set up the thermostat or was it working previously? is the Nest Thermostat new?

If you have a Nest Learning Thermostat follow these steps:

Charge the Nest Thermostat, on the back of the thermostat there is a USB port where you can plug it.
Ensure the wired cables are connected correctly to the base.
Reset the Nest Thermostat, press and hold the ring until the screen turns off, then release it.
Factory reset the Nest Thermostat.

It was working previously. It is Nest Thermostat E. I tried to charge it per your steps, and now it shows a lit circle in the middle. It is not possible to try the other two steps because the thermostat is not functioning.
