Set Humidity to RH % not rain drops

Hi, new user here. I have (finally) got the Nest Learning Thermostat working, I have to say that You tube is my friend trying to get it set up as the instructions with the thermostat are next to useless. I have a humidifier connected but when I go to set the humidity level it only shows "raindrops", the number of which increase or decrease as you turn the ring. On the videos I have seen, there has also been an RH value displayed which is far more useful. Is there a "trick" to getting this value displayed?
