Old Nest Thermostat removed from Nest App cannot be removed from Google Home app

I have an old Nest thermostat that I am no longer using. I have recently added a whole bunch of new devices in the Google Home app, and wanted to remove the thermostat from my account so it does not appear in the app. I removed the device, but it keeps adding itself back. I went into the Nest app and deleted it from there, but the thermostat is still showing in my Google Home app, with no option to remove it anymore. When I go back into the Nest app, it's also not there anymore since I deleted it. How can I remove it from my home in the Google Home app? Please help.

I can't remove my old home from the nest app using google home. Help. I already moved and have my nest app set up in my new home but old home still appears in the app.

Since the thermostat keeps popping back up in your apps, there are a few things you can try. My recommendation is to force the sync between the apps by restarting the thermostat and uninstalling the Google Home app.

You can verify if the thermostat has been removed from your account by going to Settings > Reset > Account connection on the thermostat's display. Once you have removed it from your account, you can try following this article again on How to Remove Google Devices from a Home.

As a last troubleshooting step, if that doesn't work, you can move the thermostat (if it appears again) to a new home structure in the Google Home app, remove the thermostat from that home, and then delete the now-empty home.
