New House. No Internet. How to get Heating

Hi, moved into a new house where the heating is controlled by what looks like a Nest learning thermostat.

How can we manually turn on the heating? We click it on and it says it's heating but it isn't.

Step by step guide would be good.

We have Google Nest cameras and doorbells and Nest Hubs, but no Nest thermostat. However, maybe the moving guide below will help. And hopefully the previous owner removed the thermostat from their account in the Google Home app while their Wi-Fi network was still active. The previous owner should have passed on SOME information about this.
