I found a very annoying problem with Nest Learning Thermostat. My Wi-Fi password contained a dollar sign ($) and all attempts to connect to Wi-Fi from the thermostat were failing. Took a while to figure out that it was a problem but eventually changed '$' to a different special character and there are no issues.

It seems like this is a basic issue that should be fixed. As it is, even though the workaround of changing Wi-Fi password appears to be simple, it's a pain because I now have to change passwords on dozens of devices connected to my home Wi-Fi network.

In case it matters, I am in Europe and using European version of Nest Learning Thermostat (with HeatLink module).
