Create Google Nest Routine involving Outside Temperature

I have a Google Nest (not Learning 3rd or 2nd generation or E) Model 1.4. I use the "Home" app.

I'm trying to create a household routine:

Starter: When outside local temperature is greater than 67 degrees Fahrenheit.

Action: on Google Nest change Mode to “Cool” and select “Cool-D” (custom preset).

Can this routine be created on a Google Nest 1.4?

Thanks for reaching out to the community. I understand how frustrating it can be if you are trying to create a Nest Routine.

Here's how you can set up a routine:

On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Home app.
On the Home screen, tap Routines, New, and Household.
Add at least one starter and one action.
If your Routine is set to start automatically and it includes audio actions, select the audio device:
- At the bottom, tap No device for audio.
- Select the device.
- Tap Save.
At the bottom, tap Save.

Having trouble making this work. Do I need a Google Assistant to make this work on my Model 1.4 Nest? Do I create a new household routine? What would I choose for the starter (probably a time?) and action? Where do I put in the 67 degree number and "Cool D" information?

Thanks for the information. I appreciate all your efforts.

You don't need a Google Assistant to adjust the temperature, but it's optional if you have an enabled Nest device. What I recommend to you "is to set up a temperature schedule", the Google Home app will give you the option to automatically change the temperature with a schedule. Help's here:

Add a new temperature:

Open the Google Home app.
Select your thermostat.
Tap Schedules.
Choose the day of the week you want to add a new temperature to.
Tap Add.
Select the temperature preset you want. You may want to edit an existing preset or create a new preset if the temperature you want is not there.
- Note: If you edit an existing temperature preset, it will update everywhere it's used in the thermostat schedule.
Select the time.
- Touch and drag the numbers up and down to change the time.
- Only available times will be selectable to prevent time conflicts. Adjacent temperatures in your thermostat's schedule must be at least 60 minutes apart.
If you'd like, select other days of the week you'd like this temperature to occur (for example, Tuesdays and Thursdays).
Tap Done to save the changes.

Where, in this new schedule, do I enter the OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE of 67 that would turns on the new schedule. Notice my text above, "outside local temperature is greater than 67 degrees Fahrenheit," Not inside temperature of 67.

Thanks for reaching out to the community,

The thermos has sensors that evaluate the temperature inside the house. Therefore it is not possible to set the temperature outside. However, the thermos is capable of evaluating the temperature inside its passage, but there is no function to set the range temperature and turn on the cold mode. In this case, the best option is to create a schedule at a time when you know the temperature starts to rise and you can control how long you want the temperature to last during the day.
