For no reason at all, my nest has started to set the temperature to 32C. We leave on all year round but in summer months it rarely comes on, as you'd expect. So a bit of a surprise when the heating comes on an attempts to heat the house to tropical levels. Not good for bills and environment. Any ideas? Thanks! If not fixed I will sell and get a different brand. Never been happy with this thing. Software is not so good, getting it it so save energy when everyone is out never works.

Hi wags2e,

Sorry to hear the situation that you are experiencing with the temperature settings on your Nest thermostat I understand this can be frustrating, but I'm here to help! This article explains how Nest thermostats use Eco temperatures to save energy: Eco temperatures.

Hi Chris, thanks for your reply but that article doesn't address the issue of the nest randomly setting 32C. I don't think this is user error. Is there a diagnostic mode that records all of the user input and decisions that the nest makes about what setting it chooses?
