So this is a weird one. My nest thermostat is apparently using the sleep heat preset instead of sleep cool preset setting but only on the weekend. The first time it happened, I just chalked it up to something i must have done and turned the thermostat off. Last week I checked to make sure that my schedule and presets were correct and again woke up on Saturday morning with the thermostat in sleep mode trying to cool the house down to 13.5C.

My sleep preset has heat set for 13.5C, cool set for 26C, and my thermostat is in cool mode

Hi, @GBD,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I'm truly sorry your thermostat is acting strangely. I’m happy to assist you and find a solution.

To better understand your situation, I have a few questions for you:

When did the temperature start to switch to sleep-mode?

Do you have any schedules set?

In case you have a schedule set, you can edit the temperature for the sleep-mode:

Open the Home app .

Select your thermostat.

Tap settings

Tap Temperature preferences.

Choose Temperature presets.

Select Sleep to edit the temperature.

Tap Save.

If you wouldn’t like to have any schedule at all, you can reset it:

Open the Google home app.

Tap Settings > Schedules

On the upper-right corner of the app, tap the three dots icon. Select Clear weekly schedule.

Let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Ana.

Hi Ana,

Thanks for the reply. I have schedules set using the eco, comfort, & sleep presets with 4 different scheduled changes each weekday and 2 each weekend day. My comfort presets are 20.5C for heat and 23.5C for cool, Eco and Sleep presets are set at 13.5C for heat and 26C for cool.

My schedule has the comfort preset being activated on Saturday and Sunday at 8:00am but I'm always up before that time so the thermostat (in cool only mode) should be set at the sleep preset of 26C when I get up. What is happening (Sometimes on Saturday, Sometimes on Sunday, or Sometimes not at all) is that I get up, the thermostat is running the sleep preset but instead of using the 26C from the sleep preset to cool with it is using the 13.5C.

Hi, @GBD,

Thank you so much for your response. I really appreciate it. I’m truly sorry you are still experiencing the same temperature behavior.

To provide you further assistance. I would like to confirm:

Did you notice any difference after performing the previous troubleshooting steps?

If that didn't work, you can try deleting the sleep mode from the schedule, and then try adding the sleep mode one more time to your current schedule.

Let me know how it goes.

Best regards,
