I recently had my coils cleaned. The nest thermostat was working fine before the coils were cleaned. I am getting a message that says the thermostat needs to shut down to recharge the battery. Please help. It was t doing this before and I will not stay on.

Hi null,

Thanks for reaching out. I understand that your Nest Thermostat is saying it needs to shut down to recharge the battery. I know how frustrating this can be, Let’s work together to resolve it.

To better understand the situation, could you please answer a few questions?

What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?

When did this issue first occur?

If the thermostat was recently installed: What is the make and model of your heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment?

Are the power breakers on, and are you receiving power to your home?

Is the thermostat's display seated properly?

Are all the wires of your thermostat seated firmly in its terminals (with no loose or exposed wires)?

Does the thermostat charge with a USB cable?

I look forward to your response.

Regards,

Manuel
