Google nest thermostat 3rd generation installation help

I was hoping to find multi coloured cables under my current thermostat but instead found these (see photos in link)

Is there anyone here who could help advise me on how to wire the 3rd generation thermostat?

@DariusCommons , those are line voltage wires operating at either 120V AC or at 240V AC depending on the country you live in. This type system is not compatible with conventional HVAC 24V AC.

I live in England. Would it be possible for a HVAC specialist to make my nest work with my wiring? Just checking before I fork out for one just for them to say they can't do it and I get charged a call out fee. Thanks for your advice. I really appreciate it
