topic Advance configuration in Nest Thermostats

I have Nest 4 th gen thermostat and I'm looking to delete my advance configuration setting such as type of heat. The device reports the heat source as electric but I have a gas furnace. I am unable to produce heat when the furnace is activated. The furnace will circulate room temperature air. I have used the factory reset feature several times without success. I use the Google app as a baseline. Thanks

Re: Advance Settings

@samspin267 , you change the equipment configuration at the Nest Display. Go to SETTINGS, the select EQUIPMENT, at this point you will see a display of the backplate and any detected wires. Select CONTINUE, twice. The select HEAT TYPE, then select GAS. Select DONE. Test your heat now. The blower does turn on immediately as with gas furnaces allow the heat exchanger to reach 225°F before turning on the blower. It does this to ensure that cold air doesn’t come into your house when the fan first turns on.

I hope my answer helps you to resolve your problem.
