Hi Tiger217,

Thanks for reaching out. I understand that your heating system is always on and doesn't turn off. I'm happy to assist you!

Before we proceed, I need to ask a few questions to better understand the situation:

What other strange symptoms have you experienced since the problem started?

Are there any error messages? If so, what are they exactly?

What kind of HVAC system do you have?

I'll be awaiting your response.

Regards,
Manuel

Nest Learning Thermostat - heat stays on

Hello - I just installed a new Nest Learning 3rd Generation thermostat. So far, the heat stays steady at 72. The room doesn’t overheat but can’t seem to get the heat to shut off either by turning down the dial to 66 or by turning off the heat entirely. When I checked the wiring again, it looked fine. And when I took out the main heating W wire, the heat turned off. So i put the wire back in and the heat came on right away. Only have two wires - W wire and Rh wire. Need help with using the Nest to turn off the heat. Thanks for any troubleshooting help!
