Google Takeout - Thermostat Data missing CSV

About 6 months ago I ran the Google Takeout for my Nest Thermostats and it included a CSV file. I ran it again and to took 8 days to run and only provided JSON files. It also broke the data up into 9 files to download even though each was around 250KB.

I don't even see an option to select the CSV. There is a popup that shows you what file types you should get and it still shows CSV for the Thermostat data.

Hi @Tanquen

Another Community users had the same issue and upon escalating we found that only JSON is being used for Takeout data. See this thread: Answered: Google Takout data download from the Nest thermost... - Google Nest Community

That user got a reply from Google One support and I escalated the post to the Nest Community Manager as well. There was some documentation that was still showing CSV was an option which was incorrect.

I guess that maybe covers the missing CSV files but then it broke the data up into 9 files to download even though each was around 250KB.

It also missed any file from August 2024 and January 2025 from one Thermostat and September, December 2024 from the other. Seems all messed up now.
