Selling Home and Leaving Nest Thermostat

Hello

I moving out of my home and currently have a 2nd Generation Nest which i will be leaving for the new owner.

I'm told she may not have wifi for a few weeks upon moving in and as its winter as i was wanting to ensure that she would still be able to put the heating on.

Could someone advise the easiest way for me to disconnect myself from the Nest while still ensuring she can put the heating on and off.

Many Thanks for any help, im a bit bamboozled with the best way to do it!

To just remove your account from the thermostat so it continues with the same settings just without your account associated:

First check which model of thermostat you have:
How to tell which Nest thermostat you have - Google Nest Help

Nest Thermostat (2020), Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen)

On the thermostat, go to Settings > Account > Disconnect.

Nest Thermostat E, Nest Learning Thermostat (1st, 2nd, 3rd gen)

On the thermostat, go to Settings > Reset > Account connection. If you don't see this option, you'll need to select All settings, which will unfortunately mean it requires setup.
