Nest Power Connector

Just wanted to double check as we have a two zone heating system and are trying to install Nest Thermostats on both zones. It seems we will need a Nest Power Connector for each thermostat (two power connectors).

Depending on the zone wiring each Nest thermostat will need its own Nest Power Connector.

Can you post a picture of each original thermostat's wiring and the zone controller's wiring here?

Thanks for getting back so quickly. At this point I am not able to do the work myself, my daughter and her husband are helping out. The pictures are on her camera. Your answer is a help as I now know I'll need two connectors.

Is it possible to use a power adaptor instead of the connectors?

Could you please let me know the model of your Nest thermostat?
Which app are you using to set it up?
Does your thermostat use a C wire?
Could you please share with us a picture of your thermostat’s wiring and the controller board wiring?

Thanks for getting back to me. The box indicates Nest Thermostat. I don't see any numbers. The pictures we took are on my daughter's phone as she and her husband are helping me due to my current physical condition. The old Thermostat does not have a c wire connection but the Nest thermostat indicates it is not getting enough power to operate properly. We going to use a power adapter. Have also considered the power connector from Google. It seems either will supply the power needed.

Would be interested in your thoughts on this,

If you have the Google Nest Thermostat (2020) installed, you will need to use the Nest Power Connector and an external 24vac transformer.

Thanks again Patrick. Saw a video that shows how to use the power adapter alone to power the nest thermostat. Think I'll try that. I will save your diagram in case it doesn't work.

If you have a C terminal on the zone controller, you can wire the power connectors like this. I'm assuming this is a heat-only system.

If I am wrong and you have both heat and cooling then you should wire it like this.

It is a heat only system. I only question if I can direct wire the thermostat from the adapter without the power connector.
