I'm no expert, but we recently installed a new heat pump that included Nest Renew (controlled by Google Home). If your Nest settings have Energy Shift settings, check that they are not set to Prioritize cleaner energy or Prioritize cheaper energy. When I turned those on, I noticed my temperature settings would automatically drop (only a degree since we're in NorCal where it doesn't get super cold). Maybe that helps.

I have reset the schedule on the device and reprogrammed (on device, not app, thought tried app too), shut off everything I could find in the app - home/away, auto-schedule, sunblock, early on - but no matter what I do it will not follow the schedule I set. Every time I walk away or shut down the app, it sets itself back to 70 degrees.
