Nest Thermostat return is maddening

I started a return- the QR code fiven to return the old decice is some weird phone number tht is no longer in service. I went to view labels link- entered my serial number and it still wouldnt give me a label. Reding through prevr posts i see they said a PDF was attached at bottom of original email with refurn instructions. THERE IS NO PDF

How do I get a retun label? Why cant I contact anyone! This is so maddening- I alreasy have the return number- but FEDEX says that QR code is not calid.
